Dr. Sayantanee Paul

Dr. Sayantanee Paul is an accomplished researcher with expertise in developmental biology, cancer biology, and translational research. She began her academic journey at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, where she laid a strong foundation in the life sciences through her undergraduate studies. Motivated by a deep curiosity about biological systems, she pursued her PhD at the University of Massachusetts Boston, focusing on developmental biology. Her doctoral research delved into the regulatory mechanisms governing cellular differentiation and tissue development, contributing insights relevant to regenerative medicine and disease research.
Building on her academic foundation, Dr. Paul undertook postdoctoral training at Genentech, where she specialized in cancer biology, particularly tumor resistance mechanisms. Her work explored how cancer cells evade therapeutic interventions, using advanced methodologies such as genetic screening and transcriptomic profiling to dissect tumor heterogeneity and identify potential strategies to overcome resistance. Her research bridges basic and applied science, with a focus on understanding the complexities of biological systems and their implications for human health.
Dr. Paul has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed papers and has presented her research at international conferences across the globe, showcasing her work to diverse scientific communities. Her ability to communicate her findings effectively and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams has been instrumental in driving her research forward.
In addition to her research accomplishments, Dr. Paul is committed to mentoring young scientists and fostering collaborative approaches to solving biomedical challenges. Her career reflects a dedication to integrating foundational biology with translational science, making meaningful contributions to our understanding of development and
